God what a day!

I've spent about the last week trying to agree a price for a project with this web designer chap. He usually takes my quote for programming, and charges the client double. He must spend about a day doing design bits and bobs, and then I have to fit it all into the template.

Now I don't have a problem with that - he can charge what he likes if the client is happy and I'm happy with my figure. However, on this one particular project he can't make a 50% profit, and he's not happy! Greedy b*stard. The client has been waiting for us to start, and we've all been held up by the designer telling me the client can't afford the work. I know this is a lie as the client has told me in the past what his upper limit was!

To make my position even more awkward, I've had the client asking me questions and all I've been able to say is I can't help him yet until I get the all clear from the designer.

Sigh.

Oh well, it's all on now, so I've just got to get on with it. But why do people have to be so greedy and two faced?

Time for more beer me thinks.
