Yeah, I'm bored. Bored with this stupid work I have to do. Still, the end is in site :-)

appie 1.1 - what a naughty bot.
This dammed bot has been 'crawling' my site, and it's just making shit up! I'm very annoyed with it - they should get some manners (or better coders).
Anyway, if you want to block it from your site, you can add something like this to you .htaccess file:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^appie.*$
RewriteRule ^.*$ - [F]
This will tell the bot it's forbidden to access the site.
They've been buggering me about for ages, so I thought I'd hold on a while and see if they send me any traffic. They don't so screw them!

All quiet on the western front.
Sorry for the silence folks; been really busy last week or so, and had nothing too major to moan about ;-)
I'm still alive: just. Need more sleep, more food, and more time to make the most of them!

Argh, Clients!
One of my clients from a few months ago rang me up today in a really bad mood complaining that her web site was too big and everyone has to scroll over (to the right) to see it all.
I'm not going to waffle on here, but at the time of doing the site I told her that her screen resolution in her office is 800x600 (on a 15" TFT - go figure!), and that this site would be optimised for 1024x768.
"You what, Bokeh? Imposing screen sizes on people?"
I hear you! Well, I didn't actually design the site (I don't do design), they got an external print agency to do it (a month before getting me involved). I just had the fun of slicing up millions of graphics and sticking them together. Lots of rollover buttons and chunky graphics with beveled edges. Joy. (I'm sorry, but print designers should just stay away from web design.)
So anyway, at lest three months have gone by - maybe even four - and she rings up today complaining her head off! Why couldn't they say something when I ran the site past them loads of times before deployment? I don't take my trousers back four months later when I realize they are too big or not the right colour. I wouldn't mind so much, but I gave them a huge discount off the site in the first place, and then they had the nerve to ask to pay (already six weeks late) in two installments! This coming from a millionaire. No prizes for guessing why he is so rich.
Anyway, I gave in and told them that I'd resize all the graphics and redo the site, but I'd have to charge them something. "What?!" she screamed! Oh, and I can't do it for a few days.
LOL, well that was another fun day. I can't wait until tomorrow... Oh damn - it's already tomorrow. Time for beddy bye bye.
(I should say on the plus side, I've had a lush Slovak cleaning girl at home with me for the last two days. She's a 19 year old law student; interesting (and funny) to talk too; blond with blue eyes; and hmm, such a tasty bod. Although I'm thinking about getting a real (full time) job at the moment, if work continues to pick up I may have to take her on full time hehhe ;-)

Google Cops to Illegal Shares
Looks like google have fu*ked up again. It's amazing that a company that should be doing so well is having these sort of problems. I wish they'd get this IPO over with so we can see how much they make. They just seem to be having one problem after the other at the moment.
Well it's a sunney day. Should be outside in the sun, and there's beer to consume. Am going with Marky Moo, and may bump into Ox (who'll be drunk).
Enjoy the sun!
